Obituary for Luann Ledford
Luann Ledford passed away peacefully Tuesday April 10, 2018 at the Gladwin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a short illness, She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota the daughter of Luther C Greer and Edna Nichols, Luann graduated from Winona High School in 1952 and enlisted into the Air Force shortly after graduation. In August of 1955 Luann Greer married A J Stout in Hazard Kentucky. They owned and operated a store raising their two sons Gregory and Phillip. In December 1963 A.J. passed away suddenly of a massive heart attack. In the spring of 1964 Luann moved herself and children to Lansing Michigan where her sister Nancy resided. Luann worked for the MSU Credit Union in Lansing, Michigan. In October of 1965 she married Ronald Ledford and moved to Gladwin County in 1971 where they owned and operated the Meredith General Store for over 30 years. Surviving Luann is her son Gregory (Patricia) Stout of Thompsons Station, Tennessee and son Phillip (Lori) Stout of Gladwin. Luann was blessed with three grandchildren, Jerod (Andrea) Stout of Midland, Danae (Justin) Stotter of Saginaw, and Nathan (Kelsi) Stout of Cookeville, Tennessee and two great-granddaughters Allison and Madeline. Luann was pre-deceased by her husbands A.J. and Ronald, her parents Luther and Edna Greer and sister Nancy. Memorial Visitation will take place on Monday, April 16 th from 4pm until 8pm at Sisson Funeral Home. Memorials honoring her memory may be directed to the family.
