Mrs. Perry age 88, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at her home. She was born on December 12, 1924 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Charles & Amalia (Kinzel) Belert. She married the late Sherman Perry on June 26, 1943 at the Perry Farm. He predeceased her on May 2, 2008. Lydia was a member of the Community of Christ Church. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cross stitching, and painting but most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by her son Sherman Lee (Virgie) Perry, a brother John (Maxine) Belert, grandchildren; Lisa Paschket, Shelley (Keith) Bohannon, Shannon (Matt) Novenske, grand daughter-in-law Tamra Govitz, great grandchildren Holly, Laira, Samantha, Sara, Jessica, and Amanda. She was predeceased by a daughter Lois Ann Henderson, a grandson Steven Perry and her brother Carl Belert.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday February 28, 2013 at 12 noon from the Community of Christ Church in Beaverton with Elder Roger Wiltse presiding with burial in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10 am until time of service. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Beaverton Community of Christ Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sisson Funeral Home.
