Mrs. Martindale 74 passed away suddenly on Saturday September 26, 2015 at MidMichigan- Gladwin. She was born in Flint on February 3, 1941 to the late William L. & Claudine (Scharrer) Simmons. Mabel attended the North Carolina School of Nursing where she received her LPN certification. She worked in many nursing centers in Florida, Indiana and in the Flint area before retiring. She enjoyed sewing and her family.
She is survived by her son Wayne Burnette and a daughter Diane & Tom Breen; 6 grandchildren Arielle, Rochelle, Isaac, Danielle, Jason & Orion; 3 sisters Joan & Roy Phillips, Ruth Hyde and Wanda Drinkwine; 4 brothers Raymond Simons, Lonnie & Jeannette Simmons, Randy Simmons and Kim Simmons. She was preceded in death by her husbands Smiley Burnette, Ervin Kolechek and William Martindale; a sister Rosalie Sikes and a brother Richard Simmons.
Private services will be held at Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Joseph Dorias presiding.
