Mrs. Merrill 85 passed away peacefully Thursday January 12, 2012 at Gladwin Nursing & Rehabilitation Community following a lingering illness. She was born in Hamtramck on October 18, 1926 to the late Max & Ella (Brandt) Hingst. She married Clyde Merrill in Little Rock, AK in 1949Â and he preceded her in death on January 9, 1989. Margaret was a registered nurse retired from Holy Cross Hospital after 35 years of service. She moved to Gladwin in 2004.
She is survived by her children Brian & Laurel Wisniewski) Merrill of Waterford and Christine (Forest) Placer of Gladwin; 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Bruce Merrill 2 brothers Frederick and Alfred Hingst.
Funeral services will be held Monday January 16, 2012 at 11 am from Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Cooper presiding. Graveside service will be held Tuesday January 17, at 2 pm at Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak, Michigan. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Our Savior Lutheran Church.
