The songs of the angels became a little sweeter when Our Gracious Heavenly Father called his precious daughter Marilyn Gloria home on Thursday, October 30, 2014. Marilyn, known as Gloria by many, was born April 13, 1925 to the late William McMullen & Evelyn (Landroche) McMullen. She spent her early childhood in Spencer, MA. On August 24, 1946, Marilyn married the love of her life, Chester (Siembieda) Siems. They made their home in Melvindale, MI and were proud to have raised five children. After retirement Marilyn & Chester built their dream summer getaway cabin at Fife Lake, MI where they made many special memories.
Throughout her lifetime Marilyn brightened the lives of her loved ones and any person she came in contact with. She always had a smile and time to listen and was a great mother figure. She embodied unconditional love and had the grace to accept whoever walked through her door with open arms. Her friends entrusted her to watch their children (Diana & Jackie) while they worked.
She loved to crochet, sew Barbie clothes for our dolls and make amazing comfort meals. She loved roses and gardening and she enjoyed traveling all around the country.
She is survived by her two sisters Hermine (Mary) Hamilton and Jacqueline McNally and her children, Michael Siems, Sharon (Frank) Kimzey, Ted (Norma) Siembieda, Lynne (Richard) White, and Paul Siems.
Marilyn was blessed with four grandchildren, Dominic (Jen) Kimzey, Jared Siems, Hannah (Jay) Breish and John (Kim) Krake.
She also has six great granddaughters, Abigail, Bethany and Emma Kimzey and Eden, Glorianna and Aralyn Breish. Her love was also extended to her grandchildren from the Schlarb family.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday November 5, 2014 at 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Cotter presiding with inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. Family will greet friends and family at the church on Wednesday from 10 am until time of Mass.
