Obituary for Marjorie Marie Kranich
Marjorie Marie Kranich went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 29, 2017. She was born on June 20, 1936 in Mancelona, Michigan to Russell and Elizabeth Wood. After graduating from high school, she moved to Grand Rapids and worked for a stockbroker while attending Davenport Business Institute. On September 9, 1961 she married Norris C. Kranich and they had two children. She enjoyed volunteer work for her children’s school, Woodward Avenue Baptist Church, the Michigan Christian Home as a “pal” and at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center, where she later retired as an employee, after 16 years as Receptionist/Information Desk. After retirement, Marjorie and Norris moved to Gladwin where Norris was born and raised. She continued her volunteer work at the Gladwin Hospital for a short time ,but mostly with the Ladies Missionary Fellowship at Cornerstone Baptist Church. She also enjoyed her ladies Bible study group, encouraging others and spreading goodwill by sending cards (lots of cards), baking, traveling and spending time with family. A friendly, welcoming smile and the phrase “You be nice” were her trademarks. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, June Bartlett and two nieces, Donna and Connie Bartlett. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Norris, a son Dean (Stephanie) of Gladwin, a daughter Nancy (Dale) Miller of Ionia, four grand children: Ryan (Joy) Kranich of Newport, Kentucky, Stephanie Kranich of Toledo, Ohio, FaithAnne Miller and Amelia Kranich, two great-grandchildren: Grady James and Crosley Rose, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 11:00 am with visitation starting at 9:30 am at Gladwin Cornerstone Baptist Church. Internment will be at Highland Cemetery in Gladwin. Arrangements were entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home, Gladwin.In lieu of flowers, contributions to Women's Missionary Fellowship of Gladwin Cornerstone Baptist Church"
