Mr. Edgar 88 passed away Friday, July 24, 2015 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland following a brief illness. He was born in Gladwin on June 11, 1927 to the late Ray & Teresa (Wonderly) Edgar. He married the former Nancy I. Wray on February 11, 1951 in Prudenville, Michigan, she survives him. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Marines. They lived in Swartz Creek for the years that Mark worked at the GM Tank Plant in Grand Blanc and eventually moved back to Gladwin. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working the ground with his tractor, and riding his four wheeler.  Most of all, he enjoyed being with his wife of 64 years and their loving family.
Surviving besides his wife Nancy are their children Mary & Gary Grantner, Beverly Morris, Steven R. & Sherri Edgar and Michael J. Edgar; 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; 4 sisters: Mary Cass, Madonna Garrell, Toy Breault, and Teresa & Frank Allbee . He was preceded in death by a son David Edgar, grandson Anthony Morris, a sister Bernadine Loar, 5 brothers: Roger, Harley, Charles, Bernard and Johnny Edgar.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday July 28, 2015 at 10 am from Sacred Heart Church with Rev Fr. Marcel Portelli presiding, cremation to follow at Sunset Valley Crematory. Family will receive friends at the Sisson Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 7 pm. On Tuesday Mr. Edgar will lie in state at church from 9 am until time of Mass.
