Mary Cameron Barton of Alpena, MI passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the age of 92. Mary was born in Alpena, MI to Ernest (Catherine McCray) LeBlanc on February 5, 1923. She married her high school sweetheart Alphus (Buzz) Barton on September 3, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1997. She was also preceded in death by their daughter Catherine (Buzzie) Tobias in 2012. Mary is survived by 2 daughters Nancy (Verne) Purdy Gladwin, MI and Patricia Barton, Richmond, of MI, and a son, David Barton, New Hartford CT. Two Grandchildren Peter (Melissa) Purdy and Rebecca Purdy. Three Great Grandchildren Jacob, Madison and Kyle. She will be missed by her family, friend’s bridge partners, knitting club and neighbors. Mary lived most of her life in Alpena, in 1970 she moved, with her husband, to Caro, MI until he retired in 1985 they then moved back to Alpena. In honor of her wishes Mary will be cremated and her ashes buried in the family plot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Alpena MI. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the St. Bernard Church of Alpena, Michigan.
