Mary Margaret (Matthews)  Card, age 86, of Midland, MI, formerly of Gladwin, MI, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Brittany Manor Nursing Home in Midland, MI. She was born March 7, 1924 in Tiffin, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ernest and Bertha (Frankfather) Matthews.
She married George Card on August 15, 1941 in Gladwin, MI. She did Income Taxes and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Gladwin.
She was preceded in death by her Husband George Card in January 2010, Son Donald Card in February 2010, son-in-law Walter Witte; 2 brothers Ernest and Ralph Matthews and 2 Sisters Bebe and Eva.
She is survived by her daughter Shirley Witte of Midland, MI. Daughter in Law Jan Card of Linwood, MI. 7 grandchildren: Renee (Paul) Schroll of Midland, MI; E. Scott (Grace) Witte of Kentwood, MI; Lorri (Jim) Wilson of West Milton, OH; David (Shelly) Card of Mt. Pleasant, MI; Deana (Tim) Danner of Sanford; Jim (Sue) Card of Kawkawlin, MI; Shelly (Matt) Mahar of Essexville, MI. Eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Brother Clifford (Myrt) Matthews of Beaumont, TX.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Gladwin, MI with Pastor David Snyder officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until the time of services at the First United Methodist Church.  Interment will be in Highland Cemetery with committal services held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Mary to the First United Methodist Church.
