Obituary for Melvin L. Lueders
Melvin Lavern Lueders of Hope, Michigan, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010 at the age of 86, at his home surrounded by his wife of 65 years and his family. He was born September 9, 1924 in Midland, MI the son of the late Herman and Hazel (Lavier) Lueders.
He served in the United States Navy during World War ll on the USS Washington. He worked 37 years at Dow Chemical of Midland.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
He is survived by his wife Myra of Hope, MI; children; Ernest Lueders of Hope, MI; Margie Felske of Beaverton, MI; Karen Johnson of Hope, MI and Barb Sherman of Freeland, MI. 12 grandchildren. 14 great grandchildren.
In accordance with Melvin’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 12-4 P.M. with a prayer service being held at 3:00 P.M. at the Lueders home in Hope, MI. Arrangements were entrusted to the Sisson Funeral Home, Gladwin, MI.
