Mrs. Danner 90 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Gladwin Pines following a brief illness. She was born in Cedar Hill, Tennessee on October 15, 1924 to the late Gilbert & Mary Lou (Bybee) Cox. She met Loyd Danner in Nashville, TN and they were married on November 17, 1945. They moved to Detroit in 1950 and then settled in Gladwin in 2005. Mildred was Past Worthy Matron of the Davis MI Chapter 402 Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed her & Loyd’s trips back to Tennessee to attend church at the Porters Chapel Methodist Church and visit her family. She was a talented crafter, gardener and enjoyed caring and sharing with her family.
She is survived by her husband Loyd of 69 years, their children Morrell Merrifield of Beaverton, Cindy ( Dennis Kotkoski) Danner of Gladwin, Loyd (Shannon) Danner Jr. of Roscommon and Susan Servitto of Gladwin; 12 grandchildren; 14 ½ great grandchildren; a sister Myrtle Dyer of Nashville, TN. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Sory & Thomas; 5 sisters O’Dell, Kathleen, Dorothy, Flora and EulaMay.
Funeral services will be held Saturday January 31, 2015 at 11 am from the Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Reynolds presiding with burial in Ridge Cemetery. Family will receive friends and family at the funeral home on Friday from 3 to 8 pm and Saturday 10 am until services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
