Mr. Herpel 91 passed away peacefully at his daughters on Sunday November 1, 2015 following a lingering illness. He was born in East Detroit on June 13, 1924 to the late William & Erma (Carpenter) Herpel. He married the former Anna Kuniczky in 1946 in Roseville, Michigan, she preceded him in death on August 9, 1994. He was a veteran of WW II serving as a Gunner’s Mate in the U.S. Navy. He was the owner operator of Mike’s TV Repair and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is survived by his children Rose Ann & Vince Augustine, Donna & Randy Cassaday and Judy Herpel; 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and a brother Rober Herpel, a sister Marion Buchann and a daughter in law Jeri Herpel. He was preceded in death by a son Theodore (Ted) Herpel, brother and sisters Herman, Harold, William, Dorothy Dusseau, Millie Morriss, Fritz Morriss and Lucille Herpel.
Private Committal Service and Military Honors were held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Red Cross.
