Mrs. Patierno 93 passed away Saturday January 19, 2013 at Gladwin Rehabilation Center following a lingering illness. She was born in Gladwin Co. on August 26, 1919 to the late Charles & Mary (Cann) Babcock. She married Earl Patierno on April 20, 1963 and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1997. They owned and managed several apartment houses in Bay City and Ypsilanti before retiring to Gladwin in the 1980’s. She is the last of her family being predeceased by her siblings Clarence Babcock, Irene Gould, Laura Swanson and Ida Elliott. She is survived by seven nieces and nephews; Shirley Thomas of Gladwin, Marlene Elliott of Eagle, MI, James & Dee Elliott of Kalamazoo, Kay& Bob Reeves of Auburn, Sharon & Dennis Stookey of Sterling Heights, Gary & Pat Swanson and Donald & Fran Babcock of Cadilac, also several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday January 24, 2013 at 1 pm from Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Reynolds presiding with burial in Ridge Cemetery . Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 am until time of services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Church of Christ.
