Mrs. Lechner 80 passed away Monday April 29, 2013 at Gladwin Pines following a lingering illness. She was born in Gladwin on April 30, 1932 to the late William & Katherine (Sinclair) Armstrong. She married Emil Lechner Jr. on October 24, 1981; he preceded her in Death on September 25, 1988. She was a lifelong resident of Gladwin area and a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church.
She is survived by 2 sister in laws Vera Armstrong and Alberta “Boach” Armstrong of Wauseon, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers William & Ellis Armstrong; 2 sisters Alta Lindenberg and Mary Armstrong.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday May 4, 2013 at 1:30 pm from Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor James Krach presiding. Friends may call at the church from 12:30 pm until time of services. The family would like to extend a thank you to Mark & Lauren Carter and the staff at Applewood Assisted Living for the wonderful care they gave to Nina during her stay. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a charity of your choice. Arrangements were entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home.
