Beaverton, Michigan

Phil Taylor 71 passed away peacefully  at his home with his family at his side Saturday October 3, 2014. He was born in Saginaw on October 16, 1942 to the late Philip Jr. and Anna Maria (Hausbeck) Taylor. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He married Jean M. Rogers on February 8, 1964 at the St. Mary’s Cathedral in Saginaw, she survives him. He was retired from Eaton Manufacturing of Saginaw, a Life member of the NRA, member of the Sanford American Legion, an active member of St. Anne's Catholic Church of Edenville, played guitar for the Don Thomas Country Esquires and several other bands in the area. Phil enjoyed fishing, hunting and being with his family  the most important treasurers of his life.

Surviving besides his loving wife of 50 years are their children William (Kim) Taylor, Philip IV (Dawn) Taylor, Sissy Hollon & fiancée Herb Mathis and Melody (Megan) Taylor; adopted son Marshall (Kelly) Berry; grandchildren Philip V, Krysta, Whitney, Shaylin, Timothy, John and Kaitlyn; Great grandchildren Lexie, Kaylee, Raymond and David; a sister Marsha Hernick; a special aunt Dorothy Delaney. He was pre ceded in death by a sister Sally Miller.

Funeral services & Military Honors will be held Thursday at 10 am from Sisson Funeral Home with Fr. Joseph  A. Schabel presiding.
