Loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister passed away Friday August 23, 2013 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center- Midland following a brief illness. She was born in Sage Twp. on October 5, 1942 to Mark & Ethel (Thomas) Sharp. She married Russell Allen on July 30, 1960 at the Skeels Baptist Church. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing with her husband and family. She will be remembered as an inspirational and loving mother to her children. She loved being close and sharing her life experiences with her daughters and grand children.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years and their loving daughters Wendy (Scott) Kemmer and Toni (Kirt Cripps) Allen; 5 grand children Ashley Ann, Kielee May, Ethan Todd, Caden Joseph and Madison Joan; her mother Ethel Sharp; brother & sisters Dorothy & John Foor, June & Jim Donahue, Linda & Charles Newman and Thomas & Janet Sharp also many Nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Mark Sharp.
Funeral services will be held Monday August 26, 2013 at 11 am from the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Bradstreet presiding with burial in the Arthur Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sisson Funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 8 pm. On Monday Mrs. Allen will lie in state at the church from 10 am until time of services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Cornerstone Baptist Church.
