Phyllis Bauer, age 72, beloved Mother, grandmother and friend passed away Tuesday May 3, 2016 at Covenant Health Care following a brief illness. She was born in Saginaw on September 15, 1943. She was married to Gene Carl Bauer, Sr. whom preceded her in death. She leaves behind a daughter Cathy & Glen Schmidt of Freeland and a son Gene Carl & Veronica Bauer of Thomas Twp. and four dearly loved grandchildren Steven Schmidt, Luke Schmidt, Gretchen Bauer and Kristen Bauer.
Phyllis retired from Wolohan Lumber and spent her winters in Zephyrhills Florida working at Bush Gardens. She loved to shop, travel and spend time at her home on Wixom Lake. She enjoyed going to church and eating out with her church friends. Anyone that knew her would say “she just liked being on the go”.
Per Phyllis’s wishes cremation will take place and there will be no services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Billings Baptist Church, 4111 Wieman Rd., Beaverton, Michigan 48612. Arrangements were entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home.
