Mr. Berlin 73 passed away peacefully Friday November 25, 2011 at Gladwin Pines Mid-Michigan Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Advance, Michigan on August 31, 1938 to the late Edwin & Gertrude (Exebly) Berlin. He married the former Sandy Wheatley on June 1, 1962 in Lapeer, Michigan. She preceded him in death on August 23, 2008.
Dick was retired from General Motors- Pontiac Motor and was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Prudenville. He enjoyed trains, gardening, watching the birds, camping with his family and their trips to the UP.
Surviving him are his children Cindy & Bill Smith, Richard & Cindy Berlin and Michael & Linda Berlin; grandchildren Crystal, Megan, Brittnie, Lina, Mercedes, Micaela, Megan, Lacey, Michael Jr. Brandon, Ricardo, Mario and Eriberto; Great grandchildren Brayden, Ethan, Tony, Isaac and Ella; a sister Judy & Robert Tresler; 2 brothers Louie & Nora Berlin and Eddie & Janie Berlin. He was predeceased by a sister Gerry Butterfield and a brother Leon Berlin.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 29 at 1 pm from Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Jeffery S. Tuttle presiding with inurnment in Sherman Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 8 pm and Tuesday from 11 am until time of services.
