Obituary for Richard "SCRATCH" E. Schiemann
Richard “SCRATCH” E. Schiemann, age 66, of Gladwin, MI, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the Covenant Medical Center-Cooper Campus in Saginaw, MI. He was born December 26, 1943 in Gladwin, MI the son of the late Edward and Anna (Ziemer) Schiemann.
Richard was an avid stock car racing fan. He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, Farming and was everyone’s friend. He was a member of the Local 324 Operating Engineers and Our Savior Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Dorothy Stehlik and niece Julie Stehlik.
He is survived by his brother Walter (Jeanie) Schiemann of Kinross, MI and Sister Linda Schiemann of Gladwin, MI. 2 Nieces, Lettie Krell of Plano, TX and Lonnie (Randy) Ulrich of Roanoke, IL. 2 Nephews, Walter Jr. (Tracy) Schiemann of Petoskey, MI and Brian (Chris) Stehlik of Chelsea, MI.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. at the Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Matthew Schultz officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 3-8 P.M. at the Sisson Funeral Home and again on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Richard to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital located at 332 N. Lauderdale St., Memphis, TN 38105.
