Obituary for Richard Steven Berger
Richard Steven Berger, age 87, a resident of Gladwin passed away at his residence with his family at his side on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. Mr. Berger was born on August 23, 1930, the son of Steven and Eleanor Berger. He was a veteran of the US Navy and was employed as an airline mechanic originally at Willow Run Airport and eventually at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport. He also served as a volunteer fireman in Canton, Mi for 10 years. Upon retiring in Gladwin 18 years ago he enjoyed traveling in his 5th wheel camper, working around the house and yard, woodworking and tracking the local weather and being with family and friends. Mr. Berger is survived by his wife Joan, his children Linda (Dave) Chatel, Carolyn Glacken and Steve (Mary) Berger. He is also survived by his siblings Bob Berger, Steve (Kathy) Berger and Norma Bidelman. Memorial services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, July 28th at Sisson Funeral Home, 135 North Silverleaf, Gladwin with pastor Joe Muzzi officiating.
