Mr. North 76, passed away Friday October 31, 2014 at MidMichigan Gladwin Pines following a brief illness. He was born in Attica, Michigan on December 23, 1937 to the late Herman & Ruby (Goodrich) North. He married the former Jane E. Rogers on May 16, 1958 in Imlay City, Michigan, she survives him. Bob retired from General Motors-Saginaw Delphi and moved to Gladwin in 1969 where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, going for drives, working with wood and building anything that he was asked to construct. He was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church and the UAW.
Surviving him is his wife of 56 years and their children Rickie & Carrie North, Todd & Monica North, Michelle & Jeff Hill and Brenda & Kevin Witbeck; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Kenny & Bev North and Richard & Lu North. He was preceded in death by a son Bryan North.
A Family Celebration of Bob's Life will be held at his home on Wednesday, November 5 and inurnment will be in Butman Twp. Cemetery. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Family’s Wishes. The family would like to say Thank you to the staff at MidMichigan Gladwin Pines for the wonderful care given to Bob during the last month.
