Robert C. Young “Scrooge”
Gladwin, Michigan
Mr. Young 73 passed away Sunday November 6, 2011 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center-Midland following a brief illness. He was born February 19, 1938 in Mississippi Co., Arkansas to the late Carthel & Wyoma (Beaten) Young. He married the former C. Louise Chambers in Detroit, Michigan on April 3, 1965. They moved to Clare County in 1997 and she preceded him in death on October 19, 2007. He was retired from Chrysler Motor- Mound Plant in Warren in March of 1997 and an active member of the Gladwin Historical Society and was a master craftsman in woodworking.
He is survived by his daughter Michelle Young of Gladwin; a grandson Chad Young and a brother Richard Payne of Nevada. He was predeceased by his brother Harold “Ed” Young.
Funeral services will be held Friday November 11, 2011 at 5 pm at Sisson Funeral Home with Brother Curtis Richardson presiding with Military Honors and burial in Hamilton Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11 am until time of services.
