Obituary for Robert Harvey
Robert Harvey, age 56, of Beaverton, MI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at his home in Beaverton, MI, surrounded by his family. He was born September 30, 1953 in Flint, MI to the late Alvin and Mary (Moore) Harvey. Robert was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed taking photos and was on the Board of a Horse rescue and rehabilitation of animals to work with disabled children. He also was a former Clare County Reserve Officer for the Clare County Sherriff’s Department. He is survived by his wife Kelly Harvey of Beaverton, MI; children; Christopher Harvey of Grand Rapids, MI; Tyler Harvey of Beaverton, MI; Nichole Werkema of Saranac, MI and Melissa (Matthew) Swanson of Harrison, MI. 5 Grandchildren, Natasha and Riley Harvey; Makayla, Jordan and Jacob Werkema and awaiting Noah Swanson in August. 4 brothers, Butch (Sharon) Harvey of Flint, MI; Dave (Kay) Harvey of Clare, MI; Bruce (Paula) Harvey of Clare, MI and Brian Harvey of Farwell, MI. Sister Rosemary (Carl) Malott of Beaverton, MI. In accordance with Robert’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sisson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Robert to the American Cancer Society or to the Mid-Michigan Hospice.
