Robert B. (Max) McElyea Jr.

Mr. McElyea 75 went to be with his Lord with his loving family by his side on June 18, 2012 at his home following a brief illness. He was born in Huntsville, Alabama on September 21, 1936 to the late Robert B. and Mary Ellen (Cagle) McElyea. He married Glennis V. Adair in Huntsville Alabama, she survives him. He retired from Ford Motor Co. Design Center in 1994. He was a 32 Degree Mason and belonged to the Allen Park Lodge. Max enjoyed blue grass music, working out of doors and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by one son Brian K. (Michele L. Eitner) McElyea and one daughter Kanina J. (David W.) Dixon, five grandchildren Jason K. McElyea, Bradley C. McElyea, Alyssa M. McElyea, Starr M. Dixon and Daniel R. Dixon, two great grandchildren Makayla McElyea and Mia McElyea, two sisters Frances Cook and Barbara Alexander. He was predeceased by one brother Larry K. McElyea and one sister Linda McLeskey.
Funeral Services will be held Friday June 22, 2012 at 11 am from Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Callen presiding with burial in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm.
