Mr. Rechlin 72 passed away Tuesday March 19, 2013 at his home following a brief illness with his family at his side. He was born in Detroit on June 21, 1940 to the late Niles & Eleanor (Nieman) Rechlin. Roger was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War & the Cuban Crisis. He was retired from Ford Motor Company-Livonia and enjoyed fishing and hunting
He is survived by his son Nicholas (Noreen) Rechlin and his mother Cecelia Jones; 7 grandchildren: Tabitha Florian, Mark Jewell, Conrad Robinson, Rebecca Robinson, Scott Rechlin, Rodger Rechlin and Andrew Rechlin; 4 great grandchildren: Alivia, Trenten, Aiden and Wesley; a sister Nilene Rechlin and a brother Ralph Rechlin.
A Memorial Service and Military Honors will be held Wednesday March 27, 2013 at 2 pm from Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Dorias presiding with inurnment in Marion Springs. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11 am until time of services.
