Obituary for Ruth A. DePompolo
Ruth A. DePompolo, age 87, of Gladwin, MI, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Mid-Michigan Gladwin Pines Nursing Center. She was born on November 23, 1922 in Eveleth, Minnesota the daughter of the late Victor and Mary (Anderson) Larson. She lived and raised her family in Allen Park, MI before moving to Gladwin. Ruth loved the outdoors, swimming, dancing, traveling and summers at the lake with family and friends and helping others. She was a volunteer member of the Gladwin Volunteer Hospice and was awarded volunteer of the year. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence, 5 sisters and 5 brothers. She is survived by her children, Lauren (Timothy) Fusco of Beverly Hills, MI; Larry (Sherry) DePompolo of Dowling, MI; Bart (Darla) DePompolo of White Lake, MI; Michael (Anne) DePompolo of Golden Valley, Minnesota and Tom (Jody) DePompolo of Rockford, MI. 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Brother Reuben Larson of Gladwin, MI. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Cotter officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 09, 2010 from 4-8 P.M. at the Sisson Funeral Home with a Scripture Service held at 7:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ruth to the Hospice of your choice.
