Obituary for Ruth A. Nelson
Ruth A. Nelson, age 70, of Gladwin, MI, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center-Midland Campus. She was born December 11, 1940 in Pontiac, MI the daughter of the late Alburn and Marguerit (Mott) Davis.
Ruth loved crocheting, canvas stitching, knitting baby blankets and making Brag Books for all of her friends and her 2 cats. She was a member of the Gladwin Free Methodist Church and volunteered at the Angel Food Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her husband David Nelson, sisters; Shirley and Doris.
She is survived by her brothers; Leroy (Joan) Davis of Clarkston, MI; Alburn (Ruth) Davis of Auburn Hills, MI and Donald (Betty) Davis of Auburn Hills, MI. Sisters-in-laws; Angie Barnes of Gladwin, MI and Lona (Al) Vance of Cadillac, MI. Brother in law Denny (Judi) Cline of Summerville, OR. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Very special and best friend Gwen Allen of Gladwin, MI.
In accordance with Ruth’s wished cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at the Gladwin Free Methodist Church with Pastor Phil Hortop officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to the Sisson Funeral Home, Gladwin, MI.
