Mrs. Crockett 94 passed away Thursday June 5, 2014 at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Sage Twp., Gladwin on May 12, 1920 to the late Arthur & Eva (Garden) Ogg. She was a graduate of Gladwin High School Class of 1938. She attended Detroit Grace Hospital School of Nursing receiving her Nursing Degree and RN licensing. Ruth worked at Gladwin Hospital. She married Floyd Crockett on April 6, 1946 in Gladwin and moved to Midland in 1955 were they raised their family. Ruth will be remembered for her joy of cooking, baking, canning, love of Tiger Baseball and spending time at the cottage at Blue Lake with her family that she enjoyed sharing time with. Ruth for almost six years lived at River Place in Midland where she made many new friends and participating in the activities. She was a member Hope United Methodist Church and UMW.

She is survived by her son David A. (Debbie) Crocket of Rochester Hills and a daughter Jill & William DeCoe of Beaverton 3 grandchildren Mark, Christopher and Kimberly; step grandchildren D.J. Orlando , Matthew Van Gilder, Jeff DeCoe and Dawn DeCoe and a step great grandchildren Alyssa Orlando, Jason (Jenny) Hobkirk & daughter Aubree and Jakob Spann and one sister Avis Condra of Gladwin. She was predeceased by her husband Floyd Crockett, a son Douglas Crockett, 2 infant daughters Nancy & Lynda Crockett, a sister Jean Ogg, and 5 brothers Newell, Lyle, Grant, Glenn and Jay Ogg.

Funeral Services will be held Monday June 9, 2014 at 11 am from Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Poag presiding with burial in Highland Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 8 pm and Monday 10 am until time of service. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund or the Hope United Methodist Church. The family would like to extend a Thank You to the Heartland Home care Staff for the care that was given to Ruth
