Mrs. Bee 96 passed away peacefully Saturday March 28, 2015 at the Gladwin Pines following a brief illness. She was born in Pontiac on September 24, 1918 to the late Arthur & Mary (Smith) Spaven. She married Stanley Donahue on May 16, 1939, he preceded her in death on October 16, 1973 and then married Archie Bee on September 18, 1976 and he preceded her in death on October 16, 1991. Ruth was a retired surgical aid and came to Gladwin in 1993 from Grand Blanc. She was a member of the Beaverton Nazarene church.
She is survived by her son James (June) Donahue of Gladwin; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons Paul and Keith Donahue, 5 brothers and 6 sisters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 31, 2015 at 11 am from the Beaverton Church of the Nazarene Church with Pastor Martin Hodge presiding with burial in Highland Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the Sisson Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 8 pm. On Tuesday Mrs. Bee will lie in state at the church from 10 am until time of services.
