Mrs. Hetherington 89 went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday November 17, 2014 following a lingering illness. She was born in Gladwin on November 28, 1924 to the late Hazen & Bernice (Laidey) Greer. She married Charles Hetherington on March 7, 1942 at the Wagarville Methodist Church parsonage, he preceded her in death on June 12, 1991. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Gladwin. She worked along with Charles on the farm on Wagarville Road caring for the cattle and harvesting the crops. She enjoyed her gardening and will be remembered for her delicious meals and baking.
She is survived by her children Thomas & Mickey Hetherington, Randy & Sue Hetherington, Kevin & Jennifer Hetherington and Natalie & Joseph Berthume; 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; brothers and sisters John & Phyllis Greer, Ruth & Tom Catlett, Marion Nash, Lois Presido, Bev Fisher and Betty Stone. She was preceded in death by her siblings Ike, Louella “Sal”, Don, Ken, Vern and Jerry.
Funeral services will be held Saturday November 22, 2014 at 11 am at the Assembly of God Church with Pastor Brad Withrow presiding with burial in McClure Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sisson Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 7 pm. On Saturday Mrs. Hetherington will lie in state at the church from 10 am until time of services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund of West Branch.
