Mr. Klein passed away on October 6, 2013 at War Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born December 19, 1950 in Gladwin, MI to the late Orlay and Esther (Breault) Klein. On October 10, 1970 he married Mary Rice at St. John’s Lutheran church in Gladwin. Mr. Klein was retired from the State of Michigan Kinross Department of Corrections. He is survived by his wife Mary of Kinross, MI, sons Chris Klein, Jason (Heather) Klein, grandchildren Donovan and Jaylynn of of St. Ignace, four brothers Arnold (Ching Hui) of Bellevue, NE; Vernon (Julie) of Cadillac, MI; Kenneth (Stacy) and Garold (Bonnie) of Gladwin, MI; and his faithful dog Ellie May. Stan enjoyed hunting, fishing and lighthouses. He was predeceased in death by his parents, one daughter Carrie in 1975, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Charlie and Lilly Rice and one brother Kevin. Services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, October 10, 2013 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Gladwin with Pastor Jeffrey Grundmeier presiding. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Our Savior Lutheran Church, Cedarville, MI Arrangements were entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home.
