Obituary for Susan K. Balzer-Williams
Susan K. Balzer-Williams, age 47, of Gladwin, MI, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born July 22, 1963 the daughter of Ray and Darlene Balzer.
Susan married the love of her life Ronald Williams on June 6, 2009. She was born and raised  in Gladwin. She graduated from Gladwin High School in 1981. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was considered by her family to be their rock.  She enjoyed gardening, canning and was a volunteer for 4-H for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her mother Darlene Balzer; son Michael Smith and sister in law Connie Doehring.
She is survived by her husband Ronald Williams of Midland, MI, Father Ray (Kathy) Balzer of Jonesborough, TN; Brother Jeff (Cyndee) Balzer of Gladwin, MI; Step Brother Justin (Nikki) Parnicky of Jonesborough, TN; Step children; Chad (Kristy) Brown of Brant, MI; Shayne (Jamie) Williams of Midland, MI and Shawn Williams of Midland, MI. 3 grandchildren. Grandmother Mary Jane Butcher of Gladwin, MI. nieces and nephews; Celeste (Greg) Delisle of Beaverton, MI; Colton Balzer of Gladwin, MI and Carlee Balzer of Gladwin, MI. Great nieces and nephews; Jayvin Balzer and Braelynn Delisle. Several aunts and uncles. Mother in Law; Marion Williams of Midland, MI; Sister in law; Vicki (Doug) Buckley of Merrill, MI; Brother in laws; Greg Williams of Hemlock, MI; Tom Williams of Midland, MI; Jeff (Angie) Williams of Midland, MI and Larry Doehring of Denver, CO.Â
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3089 Pratt Lake Rd., Gladwin, MI. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 from 4-9 P.M. and on Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 2-9 P.M. at the Sisson Funeral Home, Gladwin, MI. In accordance with her wishes cremation will follow the funeral services and a graveside service will be held at a later date in Dale Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be in made in memory of Susan to the American Red Cross.
