Mrs. Cripps 85 passed away Thursday December 26, 2013 at Independence, Missouri following a lingering illness. She was born in Flint, Michigan on December 30, 1927 to the late Austin & Edna (Kintner) Benmark. She married Garlen Cripps on October 26, 1946 at Gladwin Michigan; he preceded her in death on November 6, 2000. She was an active member in the Community of Christ Church Stone Church Congregation, the Women’s Auxiliary and loved cooking and traveling. She had operated a catering service in Gladwin and a Banquet Hall in Arizona.
She is survived by her children LaDora Cripps of Independence, MO, Jacqueline & Larry Isberg of Rochester, NH, Alecia Cripps of Independence, MO and Roland Cripps of Independence, MO; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters Norma Jean Stampien of Farwell, Eldon & Joyce Benmark of Clio, Robert & Rose Benmark in NC, Eleanor & Floyd Berry of Harrison. She was predeceased by a son Michael Cripps.
Funeral Services
will be held Tuesday December 31, 2013 at 11 am at Sisson Funeral Home. The burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 8 pm and Tuesday 10 am until time of services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Alzeimers Association.
