Mrs. Kern 82 passed away Friday October 2, 2015 at her home with her family at her side following a brief illness. She was born in Flint on June 7, 1933 to the late Owen & Nettie (Bellman) Dilleree. She married William G. Kern Sr. on November 8, 1948 in Flint, he survives her. She enjoyed camping, sewing, fishing and playing music on her bass guitar a long with her husband. She was formerly employed at Vessley Camper Co. and owner / operator of Ginny’s Upholstery Shop, Gladwin.
Surviving with her husband of 66 years are their children Patricia Ann & Bill Rose, Sandy Lynn & David Carmona, Peggy Lee French, Susan & Harvey Rossman and Debbie Gamm; 10 grandchildren and many great & great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons Billy Kern Jr. and Gerald D. Kern and 2 brothers Everett Bellman and Richard Dilleree.
A Celebration of Virginia’s life will take place Monday October 19, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Pineview Mennonite Church in Vassar with inurnment in Millington Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Sisson Funeral Chapel.
