Obituary for Vondale J. Tanner
Vondale J. Tanner, age 66, of Comins, MI, formerly of Beaverton, MI, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Grayling, MI. She was born April 17, 1944 in Lake Jackson, Texas the daughter of William and Bernice (Burr) Mercer.
Vondale worked as a Bartender at Mr. M’s for many years. She enjoyed going to the Casino’s. She was a wonderful friend to everyone who knew her. She will be sadly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her father William Mercer, Son Gary Smith and Niece Amy Jo Guest.
She is survived by her children, William Smith of Gladwin, MI; Judy Hayward of Gladwin, MI; Jon (Diane) Smith of Gladwin; Jim Tanner of of Luzarne, MI and Traci Eichman of Fairview, MI. Mother Bernice Mercer of Fairview, MI. 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Sisters, Judy (Tim) Guest of Hudson, MI and Terry (Hughie) Calhoon of Beaverton, MI. Ex-Husband Timothy Tanner of Gladwin, MI and Special friend Claude Bartholew of Comins, MI.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Beaverton Church of the Brethern with Pastor Cody Gasho officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from Noon until the times of services at church. Interment will be in Dale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Vondale to the family to help with a Grave Marker.
