Wally E. Raese 82 passed away at the Pine Ridge of Garfield in Clinton Township on Tuesday August 25, 2015. She was born on June 24, 1933 to Friedrich and Elfriede (Lang) Russell in Gross Groschen, County Strasburg West Prussia. Wally came to the United States in June 1949 where she lived in Gladwin County graduating from Gladwin High School in June 1952. She then went to the Evangelical Deaconess School of Nursing and graduated in 1957. She married William E. Raese Sr. on February 9, 1963 in Gladwin. She worked as an RN at the Gladwin Nursing Home and retired in 1996.
She is survived by her two sons William (Cindy) Raese of Warren and David (Anna) Raese of Warren, 4 grandchildren Katie (Melvin) Leonard of Macomb Twp, Staff SGT Eric (Cassie) Raese of Bellevue, Nebraska, John Raese of Warren, Nathan Raese of Warren and 6 great grandchildren Christopher, Joley, Cody, McKenna, Albrielle and Trevor, brothers Herbert (Nelda) Rossol, and Harold (Carol) Russell, sister Helga (Patrick) Heath.
She was preceded by her husband William and brothers Paul Rossol, Richard Rossol and Roland Russell.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday August 28, 2015 at the Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Winston Decker with burial in Butman Township. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the time of service. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hospice of Michigan. Arrangements are entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home.
