Obituary for William "Mike" Scott
William Michael “Mike” Scott, age 64, of Beaverton, passed peacefully on April 10, 2017.
Mike was born on January 11, 1953 in Detroit. He retired from Delphi, and moved his family to Gladwin in 1985. He became a Mason 1995 and served as Worshipful Master in 1999, 2006, and was serving again in 2017. He loved to volunteer. Over the years he has poured his heart into Little League baseball,
I-Care of Michigan, and helping anyone in need. He enjoyed bowling, golf, Tiger’s baseball, and spending time with his family and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his Father William “Bill” Scott, and his Mother Martha Scott. He is survived by his wife Muriel, of 43 years, daughter Cheryl (Jim) Cobb, son Mike (Jessica Carpenter) Scott, Grandchildren: Taylor (Sabreena Greer), Ethan, Lydia, Green, and Easton, brother Jeff (Karen) Scott, and sisters Chris Shaffer and Terri (Bob) Bazin, brother-in-law David (Denise) Kittle and sister-in-law Dawn (David) Beyer.
Viewing will be held at the Gladwin Masonic Lodge on Wednesday from 11am to 9pm and Thursday at 10 am. Service will be held on Thursday April 13th, 2017 at 1 pm.Burial will be in Cherry Grove Cemetery Clare, Michigan.
