Obituary for William R. Knight
William R. Knight, age 53, of Gladwin, MI, passed away on August 26, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family and hospice. He was born June 11, 1957 in Detroit, MI, the son of the late Robert and Bernice Knight.
He was united in marriage to Juliette K. Wade on August 11, 1979. Bill served in the Air Force from 1984 to 1994 where served in Desert Shield-Storm. Bill’s pride and joy was his grandchildren. He enjoyed Baking, Gardening and watching old time shows. A special thanks to all of his caregivers and especially his sister Nancy Knight.
He was preceded in death by sisters Janet Aumend and Susan Dingus.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years Julie Knight of Gladwin, MI; sons Joshua Knight and Chad Knight of Gladwin, MI. Grandchildren, Mackenzie and Exzaviour Knight of Gladwin, MI. Brothers, Rick (Marilyn) Knight of Detroit, MI; Bob ( Kim) Knight of Detroit, MI; Don (Sharron) Knight of Charlotte, NC; Jim (Georgina) Knight of Mesick, MI and Jack (Frances) Knight of Detroit, MI. Sisters; Linda (Fred) Wright of Jackson, MI; Nancy Knight of Clare, MI and Judy Harman of Jackson, MI.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a Memorial Service held on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Sisson Funeral Home, Gladwin, MI. Interment will be in the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bill to the Gladwin County Relay for Life.
