Mr. Violette 90 passed away unexpectedly on Friday January 18, 2019 at his home. He was born in Flint on July 11, 1928 to the later Earl & Lona (Pettit) Violette. He married the former Jean Marie Ryba in 1948. She preceded him in death January 17, 1998. Willis owned and
operated W & F Maintenance company in the Flint Area for 40 years. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army in Germany, served on the Atherton School Board of Education and a member of the Kiwanis Club. He loved the trips to the Violette family reunions in Maine, enjoyed hunting and his dogs.
He is survived by his children Greg (Sharon VanAllen) Violette, Scott & Karen Violette and Jeanell Violette; 5 grandchildren Adria, Miles, Katie, Jordan and Alex; 3 great grandchildren Riley Chase and Cash; a sister Patricia & Dan Seymour. He was preceded in death by a brother Edsel Violette.
Funeral services and Military Honors will be held Thursday at 2 pm at Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Reynolds presiding with burial in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris, Michigan. Family will be present at the funeral home to greet on Thursday from 12 noon until time of services.
