Obituary for Yvonne F. Kliewoneit
Fannie Yvonne Kliewoneit (Yvonne) passed peacefully in her sleep in her apartment at The Brook of Gladwin on February 24, 2015 after a long illness at the age of 84. While she was able, Yvonne enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, reading, and taking care of her flowers. Yvonne attended Our Savior Lutheran Church for 46 years, and was active in their Ladies Aid. Yvonne was also active in the county Farm Bureau, including a term as president. Yvonne enjoyed traveling, and recently returned from a Christmas holiday with some of her children and sisters in Arizona. She has traveled throughout the U.S.A., and also Canada, Mexico, England and France. Yvonne started as a telephone operator in Clare, MI out of high school until marrying Fritz in 1952, after which she continued to work on the family farm.
Yvonne was pre-deceased by her husband of 57 years, Fritz in 2010, her parents Dean and Helen Ogg, and her brother-in-law David Leddy. She is survived by 3 sisters, Judy Leddy of Hancock, Linda (Dennis) Raymond of Eagle, MI and Apache Junction, AZ, and Gayl (William) Brugger of Coleman. She is survived by 4 children – Jane Kliewoneit of Gaylord, Kurt Kliewoneit of Evanston, IL, Keith (Lori) Kliewoneit of Gladwin, and Chris Kliewoneit of Farwell. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Amy (Justin) Grice, Brandi (Jason) Robinson and Kyle (Shannon) Kliewoneit and 5 great-grandchildren., 2015
There will be a memorial service for family and friends on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11 am with Pastor James Krach at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Gladwin. Friends may call at the church from 10 am until time of service. Memorials can be sent to Heartland Hospice in Yvonne’s name or to Our Savior Lutheran Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home.
